Albert Junior Barton

Albert Junior Barton, 80, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, November 26, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Parlor at Highland Hills Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Dr. Jake Hall and Rev. Cass DuCharme will officiate the ceremony. Albert was born on October 21, 1937 in Macon, GA to Forrest Wooden and Minnie Lou Moye Barton. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from the United States Postal Service. Albert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Gerda Glaser Barton; children, Charlie (Gail) Barton, Wayne (Gina) Barton and Ronnie Barton; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and neice, Jeanie Broadaway. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Minnie Lou Moye Barton; brothers John Alvin Barton and Norman Barton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity. The family would like to thank Bolingreen Nursing Home for the excellent care and show of love for "Mr. Albert".
