Michael Millwood "Mickey" Johnson

Michael Millwood “Mickey” Johnson passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be private. Rev. Franklin Etheridge will officiate.  The family will greet friends following the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mr. Johnson, the son of the Robert Lee Johnson and Kathleen Ballard Johnson was born May 1, 1944, in Forsyth, Georgia. He retired from The State of Georgia as a surveyor. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era.  He was one of the first volunteer firemen for the Monroe Fire Department, an avid hunter, loved riding motorcycles, raising cattle and bailing hay.  Survivors include his children, Dana (Jim) Potter, Chuck(Sara) Johnson; special friends, Teri Bunn, Mindy James, Ron Renno and Robert Alexander all of Forsyth.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, Post Office Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
