Cherry Dukes Horne

Cherry Dukes Horne passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Paran Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.  Rev. Baker Earwood will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the Church.  Mrs. Horne, the daughter of the late James William Dukes and Margaret Hill Collins was born November 22, 1942, in Carrollton, Georgia. She was a retired compliance officer with the banking industry and was a member of Paran Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Lynn Horne of Forsyth; children, Angela (Chris) O’Neal of Juliette, Mike (Melanie) Horne of Jackson and Steven (Kim) Horne of Opelika, Alabama; sisters, Dian (Zack) Cooley of Forsyth and June Dukes of Tennessee; brother, Ben (Pat) Dukes of Butler; and seven grandchildren.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to donor’s charity of choice.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
