Lucille Martin Cole

Lucille Martin Cole passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at Monroe Memorial Gardens.  Rev. William Slaughter will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mrs. Cole, the daughter of the late Sherrod Alexander Martin and Eva English Martin was born December 9, 1922, in Forsyth. Georgia. Her husband, Willard “Monk” Cole and her granddaughters, Wendy Green Hunnicutt and Michelle Dupre preceded her in death.  She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.   Survivors include her children, Dennis (Beverly) Cole, Delores (Frank) Green and Betty Cochran of Forsyth; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Slaughter of Forsyth, Brent (Rhonda) Cole of Westfield, North Carolina, Jennifer Cochran and Chuck Green of Forsyth; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.  The family may be contacted at the residence of Lisa and Greg Slaughter, 44 Fern Drive, Forsyth, GA 31029.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
