Scotty Eugene Nipper

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE    Scotty Eugene Nipper passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, at Gray United Methodist Church Family Life Center with burial in the Henderson Stripling Cemetery.  Rev. Jay Tucker will officiate.  The family will greet friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at the church.  Scotty was born May 24, 1954, in Macon, Georgia. His father, Donald Eugene “Pat” Nipper, his daughter, Leslie Stripling and his son, Chesley Byars preceded him in death.  He was owner and operator of Scotty’s Muffler.  Scotty started at an early age with his father in stock car racing becoming a race car driver and a stock car builder.  He passed his passion for racing to his son, Jordy.  Scotty enjoyed cooking for family and friends at the race track.  Survivors include his wife, Wanda Nipper of Gray; son, Jordy (Sarah) Nipper of Gray; mother, Josephine Etheridge of Gray; sister, Cheryl Nipper Rozar of Gray; step-brother, Tommy Brown; step-sister, Barbara Mercer; aunt, Helen (Joe) Curlee of Milledgeville; step-mother, Julia Nipper of Gordon; son-in-law, Dale Stripling of Gray; grandson, Chase Partin; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Stripling; and great granddaughter, Charleigh Partin.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Ga 31201.  The family may be contacted at the residence of Jordy and Sarah Nipper, 120 White Lane, Gray, GA 31032.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
