James Hendon Hardin

VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE James Hendon Hardin passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Andy Oxford will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.  Mr. Hardin, the son of the late Wallace Carson Hardin and Ruby Hendon Wright was born September 18, 1942, in Rockmart, Georgia. He was retired from Georgia Power Company and was a veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Hardin was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Paula Swafford Hardin of Macon; son, Jim (Jan) Hardin, of Macon; sister, Jane Hardin Smith of Atlanta; grandchildren, Davis Hardin, Ben Hardin and Meg Hardin of Macon.  The family requests no flowers but suggests donations to American Heart Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067-6411 or to American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA  22116-7023.  Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
