After WWII Rowena joined family in California and met her soon to be husband in San Diego California.  Rowena and Oliver were married in 1952. She found herself maintaining her small family alone over many long months as her husband deployed as a US Marine to various foreign deployments. Mrs. Stoner and her family settled in Forsyth Georgia after her husband retired from the Marine Corps in 1969.   Mrs. Stoner was very proud of time she spent working at the Monroe County Hospital. She and Oliver were members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Macon. She and Oliver moved into an assisted living facility in Augusta to be near their son and daughter in law in January 2015.  Rowena, is survived by her beloved daughter Diane, son Jack (and his wife Nancy), and sisters-in-law Virginia Manor and Joy Krug.
