William Edgar Young

MACON, GA- William Edgar "Chic" Young, 83, passed away on May 19, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 11:00am at Riverside Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joseph McDaniel officiating. The family will greet friends following the memorial service. There will be a private burial at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. William was employed at United Insurance Company for 40 years, and was a Veteran of the United States Army, and Air Force. Chic was a loving husband and an amazing father and papa, survived by his wife, Bonnie Sockwell Young 4 children, Richard Young (Cindy)-St. Inigoes, Maryland, Eddie Young (Mishael)-Macon, Jimmy Young-Macon, Donna Purvis (Scott)-Macon, 5 siblings, 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great grandaughters, and several nieces and nephews. Professional arrangements were handled by Monroe County Memorial Funeral Home.
