Henry Herschel Williams Forsyth . . . Henry Herschel Williams died Saturday, December 29, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mr. Williams, the son of the late Clarence Floyd and Verdie Mae Grubbs Williams was born February 13, 1939, in Forsyth, Georgia. His wife, Laverne Dianne Williams, his brothers. Johnny Williams, Wesley Williams and his sister, Ruby Erwin preceded him in death. He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include his children, Frances McCard of Griffin, Rosa (Jimmy) Watson of Palm Springs, California and Amma (Hubert) Smith of Milner, sisters, Dorothy Dorsey of Forsyth, Myrtice Jennings and Bernice Williamson of Washington State, brother, Curtis (Helen) Williams of Forsyth, seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence of Leah and Tim Pritchett, 92 Newton Drive, Forsyth, Georgia. Monroe County Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
